Bambi 😞!! RIP Justice Stella Amoko The Nation will Miss You.

Another sad  Judiciary has been sent into mourning after the death of another Top Judge at the Supreme Court.

 Justice Stella Amoko was 69years old,She died in Nakasero Hospital at around 4am on Saturday, according to the deputy Chief Justice Richard Buteera.

Our earnest condolence goes out to the family of the late Justice Stella Arach Amoko,the Judiciary,the legal fraternity ,the Country and the East African region;The Judiciary has lost an extraordinary Jurist who has been achampion of Justice, Buteera said.

Justice Stella Amoko served in the Attorney General's Chambers since 1979 up to 1997, raising from state attorney to commissioner for civil litigation.

In 1997 the late was selected a high court Judge, serving in that capacity until 2010

Between April 15,2018 until April 2020, The late served as the member, management committee of Ugandan's Law Development Center.

 Justice Stella Arach Amoko has handled many related election cases including the 2021 Presidential petition in which she was part of the majority.

She  was selected to the supreme court 10 years ago in 2013. Stella Arach Amoko joined the judiciary in 1997 as a High Court judge and was elevated to justice of the court of appeal in 2010.

Late Justice Stella Arach Amoko served at the East African court of Justice, since 2006 upto 2008 as a Judge and from 2008 to 2013,as "Deputy principal Judge of the first instance Division".In 2020 she was one of the candidates considerd by the Judicial service commission selected as the Justice chief of Uganda.

She has sat on two presidential election petitions in 2016 by John Patrick Amama Mbabazi and 2021 by Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine under Ex- Acting Chief Justice Steven Kavuma, former Chief Justice Bart Katureebe and Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo.

She becomes the third high profile judge to die after Retired High Court Judge Wilson Museene Musalu and Justice Kakuru who died few months ago
