Dr Kizza Besigye Opens Up On About Nandala's Relation With NRM

Dr Kizza Besigy said that he is bringing more information on the surface about the funding of which the opposition forum for Democratic Change (FDC) allegedly got from the President . President Yoweri Museveni in 2021 Presidential elections.

According to the released Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), elder's committee special report on the internal disputes in the opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) , Dr Kizza Besigy is quoted revealing an how he got to learn of the funding which was received from State House by FDC secretary known as General , Nathan Mandala Mafabi.

The committee was chaired by Dr Frank Nabiswo who presented their findings to the FDC party officials on Friday July 28th 2023 at the Najjanakumbi offices aiming at chaotic scenes .

Nathan Nandala Mafabi and Dr Kizza  Besigye appeared in the last month before the 6th member committee which was appointed  by the FDC party President Patrick Amuriat Oboi in November last year , to go through the accusations and enccounter_ accusations which where being traded by the top party leadership.

According to the reports,Dr Kizza Besigye told the committee that he had been contracted State House telling him that"there was some money which was received by  some the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party leaders from the State House."

Dr Kizza Besigye says that during that time,Nadala Mafabi had come to him with a request to keep for him money which was amounting to Shs 500 million.however only Shs 300million was delivered.It turned out in a that it was given to President Amuriat for safekeeping .

Dr Kizza Besigye says that his alarm bells went off , and immediately convened a meeting with some of the leaders who were concerned about the matter .

However, the meeting and other subsequent meetings did not yield into good results .

Dr Kizza Besigye said that he also confronted the FDC President Amuriat Oboi who adimited that had received and 280million from Nandala Mafabi for his safekeeping and it was also intended for the FDC party during the 2021 electoral process .

During the same period they was senior party officials who also reached out to Dr Kizza Besigye on the possibility of a formal agreement with the NRM to establish a government of National Unity.

Dr Kizza Besigyes colleague reminded of how both suffered together and how many Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) members are becoming desperate .

Dr Kizza Besigye whether he was advocating for terms of surrendering , and he answered in a affirmative way . His colleague also told him that there were already some contacts with Museven, and he also requested Dr Kizza Besigye to keep the information confidential .

It has been reported over the past weeks that at the heart of the   unrevealing bitter fight that threatens to split FDC down on the middle is funding to atuna of shs 7billion that president Museven dolled to the Forum for Democratic Change .

It was understood that  president Museven on helping the FDC regain it's lost glory to counter the threat posed by National  Unity Platform (NUP) lead by Robert Kyegulanyi known as Bobi Wine .

The President in who in the year 2021 elections bowled to destroy the National Unity Platform (NUP) sees Kyagulanyis party as more radical and dangerous than the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) which was more reasonable , mature , elderly and moderate politican by helping FDC financially to reclaim several mp seats in Buganda and eastern Uganda , president wanted to weaken the National Unity Platform (NUP) in it's strong hold areas .

During the elders committee when they seqused Nandala Mafabi he said that FDC as a party needed the money. 

However , Nandala Mafabi demonstrated to the commette that the money was from legal sources
