According to the early reports, atleast 30 people servived death by the help of rescue operations which struggled to locate and save any possible survivors.
However,the authorities were able to recover five bodies, highlighting the scale of the disaster and the urgency of their efforts to locate those who are still missing.
Lake Victoria is the largest Lake in Africa which is known it's beauty and historical of the region.
Lake Victoria has witnessed it's share of Maritime accidents,with boat overcrowding, mechanical failures and adversed weather conditions being some of the common contributing factors.
The local communities and corcerned authorities came together and extended their sincere condolences to the affected families due to the incident.
The rescue operation authorities are still searching and hoping to find more survivors and they are aiming at distressing circumstances.
It is very important for local authorities to conduct complete investigation into the cause of the boat overturn, inorder to prevent similar incidents in future.
At this time of grife and uncertainty, the authorities stand in solidarity with the affected families offering their thoughts and prayers during this vastly challenging period.
The outcomes of such accidents of water safty and need for continuous effort to improve on transportation security across the region.

Uganda must endeavor for the future where accidents like the recent incident become a thing of the past through concentrated efforts to Prioritize water safty and protect precious lives on lake Victoria and other means of transport.
