Oh No!! Judiciary In Panic As Chief Justice Dollo Rushed Abroad For Treatment

Tention among judicial staff, relatives and friends of the Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny Dollo after he spent weeks abroad where he was rushed for treatment.

Highly placed sources in the judiciary insinuate to theGrapevine that Chief Justice Dollo was rushed abroad after his doctors at Kadic hospital recommended that he seeks further medication abroad.

The mighty Grapevine is still establishing the country where the head of the third arm of government was taken but family insiders allege that he is receiving treatment from the United States of America or South Africa.

When contacted, Sheilah Wamboga, the senior communications officer of the judiciary declined to confirm the development sayinging that she was not aware of the matter and needed to first consult top judiciary authorities.

Efforts to talk to His worship Karemani the judiciary spokesperson were useless because he did not pick our calls.

We were later informed by his assistants that he was attending the requiem mass for the fallen Supreme Court iron lady justice Stella Arach Amoko who passed away on Saturday morning at Nakasero hospital.

Efforts to talk to Chief Justice himself were also futile because all his known phone numbers were off.

It is almost a month since Justice Dollo disappeared from the public.

He missed the State of the Nation Address at Kololo airstrip, he also missed the Heroes day celebrations in Luwero district which were presided over by Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja; the judiciary was represented by Principal Judge Flavian Zeija.

Justice Dollo wrote the lead judgment in the appeal filled by businessman Hamis Kiggundu in his fight with Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) which he lost overwhelmingly.

The judgment was read by justice Night Percy Tuhaise.

Sources in the judiciary revealed that justice Dollo lost a very close friend when justice Amoko died.

"He first lost justice Apio Aweri who was his friend, now he has also lost justice Amoko, he should be a very frustrated sad man now",a source in the judiciary said.

In the same development, Milly Babirye Babalanda, the Minister for Presidency has revealed that president Museveni has directed that Justice Amoko be accorded a State funeral.

She said that the full burial program will be announced.
