According to Uganda's internal Affairs Ministry Spokeman Simon Mundenyi demanded for DNA testing which has increased by 70 percent.

On 25 March 2022, Thomas Tayebwa was elected by his fellow members of Parliament as the Deputy Speaker of Uganda's 11th Parliament.
